Sparkfun: Hacking the Simon Says Kit with Arduino
Monday, April 15
4-8pm
NuVu Studio, 450 Massachusetts Ave., 2nd Floor, Cambridge
Hack the microcontroller behind the classic childhood game, Simon Says. Students will learn how to reprogram the microcontroller on the Sparkfun Electronics Simon Says Kit to interface sensors and add control to LEDs, buttons, and buzzers. Students will learn the basic concepts of sensors, analog and digital output devices, microcontrollers, and basic programming. LEDs will blink, buttons will be pressed and dials will be turned! In our workshop you will feel confident taking your first steps into the world of programming microcontrollers.
We will be re-programming your Simon Says in Arduino. We will have computers available, but we encourage participants to bring their own laptop if they can.
